Stargirl "Frenemies: Chapter Thirteen: The Reckoning"
And then we get to the ten years later tag, I guess chosen upon the series cancelation, that redeems a LOT. Artemis joined the J.S.A.. Good. They eventually rescued Sylvester after all. Also good. Jay Garrick speeding between Universes to hint at a post-series crossover on the last season of The Flash? Even better. And learning the reformations of the Shade, Grundy, Cameron and Cindy stuck was nice too.
The fight in the junkyard was too dark. I couldn't see much or keep the players straight.
I'm not going to forgive the penultimate episode. And this might sound like sour grapes. But the truth is we got those nice rewarding revelations here because it was the last episode. I do believe if that tag wasn't present, and a potential cliffhanger was given instead, the series would continue to do stuff like Sylvester as the Ultra-Humanite. I'm glad that last scene satisfied me. Because the truth is I was never going to trust the series again if it had continued. And while I definitely think it had a much better ending than either Naomi OR Black Lightning, the series, as promising as those two once were, definitely wore out its welcome.
But because of the flashforward I'm giving the otherwise shaky episode a respectable grade. ****.
