Imagining the nerd-rage now when people find out these things aren't going to have action features...

It's hard to tell with Darkseid but I hope that the figures are a stylistic match to the vintage ones.  Three figures and two vehicles is a pretty impressive start to a specialty line but it would've been nice to have at least one new character in that mix.

Surprised the card art wasn't updated more.  It just looks so flat and basic.  Could've added some "dimensionality" to the star array or something to mordernize it a little.

My friend told me to stop quoting the Monkees. I thought she was joking. But then I saw her face.

I really want this line, but at the same time I'm not sure I'll actually buy it.

Definitely need to see more pictures of the other figures before I decide to commit.

As for the "Action Features", I'm honestly OK if there aren't any, but I do agree that the card treatment needs to be updated in some form.  They just look like customs or bootlegs as they currently are.

(semi)patiently waiting for more news

According to the AFI Instagram post, the first wave is already showing up in some Walmart stores (they are exclusive). Officially they aren't supposed to launch until mid month, but if you are lucky you may find them early.

I'll be on the hunt for the next few days

The Batwing and Supermobile both look to be about half of the size that they should be.  That said, I'm still getting that Supermobile as it seems to be the best looking version to date.

If anyone has any luck finding them can you please let us know where in the store they were? With Action Figures or with the Collector's area (Funko and other McFarlane product)?

Thanks

I went on my first toy run in years (?) this weekend hunting for Super Powers. Hit 6 Walmarts with no luck. Then I found out the release date is the 12th. Oops.

Pictures I've seen on social media show them hanging with the other action figures, not in the collector's area.

Todd showing off the vehicles.  Honestly, the best Supermobile ever made...

I picked up everything yesterday near Orlando. They were all on the action figure aisle, but they were scattered a bit. I found a Darkseid, then the Supermobile, then a couple racks of Supermen, then the Batwing, and finally a stack of Batmen. So check thoroughly. I was annoyed at first, because it looked like Darkseid was all that was left.

The Batwing is small. It's dwarfed by the Supermobile (which should honestly be the smaller one). I suspect it's to create a different price point, plus Batman is more popular, so making it cheaper probably moves more product. The Supermobile rang up at $29.99 and the Batwing was $19.99.

My Batwing's canopy hinge broke, or was already broken. I couldn't tell. I'd already ripped up the packaging and the store is about 30 miles away, so I'm not going to bother taking it back. The canopy still snaps shut. I may buy a replacement later. We'll see.

But there seem to be lots of everything there. I don't think this will be scarce.

And on a personal note, it's a pretty big thrill to buy new Super Powers 36 years after they were last at retail.

I'm still hunting. 7 stores daily for the last week and a half and no one that I have run into has seen them yet.

Sometimes I hate being a toy collector in this city.

I get that my own impatience is the problem, and this is wholly on me, but I want my toys

$30 for the Supermobile?...  Dang... I thought they were going for a single vehicle size/price... 🙁

I spent too much time looking too, bnjmnrlyr. Particularly considering current gas prices. I was starting to get really impatient and began checking eBay prices but I really didn't want to do that. I'm glad I didn't have to.

It makes more sense based on the relative sizes, Jim. It's significantly bigger than the Batwing.

@bryan-l Yeah, I've been watching eBay and the prices are not what I am willing to pay right now.

I thought I had heard that these would be listed on the Walmart website and was hoping to make a quick buy that way, but so far I haven't found them there either.
