Seeing reports in Texas and other midwestern areas, too. Of course, the shelves here are now full of waves 1 and 2. The $7 clearance price doesn't seem to be moving anything, but it's actually hard to determine what's on clearance -- wave 1 figures (Superman, Batman, Darkseid) are, but aren't clearly labeled as such. BWL, Lantern, and Flash aren't. I'd probably buy a few GLs and Flashes for customs if they were on clearance as well. Particularly Lantern -- that's a pretty basic blank body with only boot detailing. But around here they haven't been put on clearance.

We seem to have an abundance of Darseid locally, Batman and Superman are pretty much gone since the clearance prices started.

The pegs are full, though, of GL, Flash, and BWL still so I'm guessing it will be a bit before I see the new figures locally.

In the meantime I will continue to watch for order links at Walmart.com as that has been the easiest way to gauge when they are in my area.

Also, has anyone noticed that the Batwing price has been adjusted to match the Supermobile? I'm hoping we will still get smaller vehicles at the lower price point but I'm feeling that isn't likely.

Yeah, initially you apparently could argue the price and get the original price on the Batwing, but I think people were using the online ad as evidence. Not sure about all that. I wanted to buy a second because my canopy hinge broke (like a lot of people's) and I wanted to modify the spring to have an intact one. If it ever hits clearance I'll jump on it.

The new wave is pretty widespread now, so I think it's just the clogged shelves keeping the new wave in the back. I wondered about trying some of the old tricks and buying a bunch and bringing them back after a restock, but there's about 30 at every Walmart in my area. That's way more money than I want to tie up. Best to wait for online ordering.

Don't know how you managed it, Ben, but you got working links up there even with the spaces added!

My friend told me to stop quoting the Monkees. I thought she was joking. But then I saw her face.

Glad they worked for you.

Placed my order and I should have the figures in hand by 10pm tomorrow according to site. Can't wait.

Then its on to another wait until the Invisible Jet starts showing up ...

I've been hitting the links a couple of times a day for the last week. I set up a list and then just try to move the list into my cart. Whereupon I would get an "out of stock" message. Finally, this morning, it worked. In theory, Deathstroke and WW should be here tomorrow, with Nightwing on Friday. I'm not going to hold my breath, but at least it seems positive.

Of course that means I'll find them at Walmart this weekend.

Exactly what happened to me. I ordered them and had them delivered yesterday and today I found them at my local Walmart at lunchtime.

Yeah, I found the Flash at my store the day after mine arrived from Walmart.com. I just checked and the shipping information has been updated to next Monday and Tuesday, so that pretty much guarantees I'll find them before they arrive. I just save the store receipt and when the shipped ones arrive, I return those to the store. Unless I decide I want two of each or want to customize something. I'd rather be certain of getting them. Plus while I'll hit the odd Walmart or two as I pass by, I won't bother with serious toy runs.

Well, I called that. Found Wonder Woman and Deathstroke today at Walmart when I went to buy light bulbs. No Nightwing, but I bet if I drove around I'd find him.

Found Nightwing. So I got all three before they arrived in the mail.

New McFarlane Toys 5" DC Super Powers Wave 4 Figure Listings Pop Up Online

by Jay Cochran
February 11, 2023

While not yet officially confirmed by McFarlane Toys, the 4th wave of 5" DC Direct DC Super Powers figures have popped up online from an overseas retailer names Dragon's Chest. Like these previous waves, here in the US these should be sold as Walmart exclusives. The listings are as follows:

- SUPER POWERS 5 INCHES FIGURES WV4 – WONDER WOMAN ( REBIRTH) – VARIANT
- SUPER POWERS 5 INCHES FIGURES WV4 – BLACK MANTA
- SUPER POWERS 5 INCHES FIGURES WV4 – BATMAN (CLASSIC DETECTIVE)
- SUPER POWERS 5 INCHES FIGURES WV4 – ROBIN (TIM DRAKE)
- SUPER POWERS 5 INCHES FIGURES WV4 – AQUAMAN ( REBIRTH)

The overseas retailer lists these with a June 2023 release. If this list ends up being confirmed, no word yet on when they would see release here in the US.

While I understand the need to add some repaints/variants to the line (especially Batman) to save costs and increase buy in among children, I would prefer we get a solid run of original figures before we start offering repaints.

Wonder Woman and Batman repaints in the same wave? A bit too much in my opinion and a bit too soon.

Yes, I agree. I understand the need for Batman and Superman repaints. Wonder Woman is a stretch, I think. Unless, and this is purely speculative, the figure has some relationship to the Invisible Jet that the basic figure doesn't have (and I have no idea what that might be, if I was even right).

I think they'd be smarter to use a Batman repaint and a Superman Bizarro repaint with new head sculpt. Honestly, the GL figure is perfect for a lot of repaints with new head sculpts, particularly if you use Superman arms.

I'll keep buying. I just hope they don't run out of gas.
