I keep forgetting to post about this and I know this is going to be exciting for some people around here... 😉

First is their Ultimates line which starts off with Bert, Ernie and Count Von Count. Each figure comes with a second head/expression and a Muppet letter along with appropriate accessories. Not sure if it was Pixel Dan's interview or with Veebs and Robo where it was said that the line was not in normal Ultimates 7" scale but was scaled to work with Palisades' Muppets line. There was also a street lamp/sign in the case but it isn't planned for release though he did say that if the line was popular enough they would "probably" do accessory sets. They also had Toony Sesame Street on the other side of the case which are also not in the normal "Toony scale". He said that the Toony Sesame Street figures would scale properly with 7" human-sized figures but they are not articulated (well, maybe minimally). First batch will be Bert, Ernie and Oscar.

My friend told me to stop quoting the Monkees. I thought she was joking. But then I saw her face.
I'd love to get these figures to go alongside the Palisades Muppets (One of the single greatest toy lines ever imo) but at the price point that similar products from Super 7 go there just isn't any possible way for me to be a completist.
So, do I pick and choose my favorites or just skip the line entirely knowing that having "holes" in the collection would drive me insane?
NECA Ultimates usually run about $35. NECA doesn't usually pump out a ton of different figures quickly but they do love to do repaints so I could see them offering these things in, say, Child Guidance or Fisher-Price colorways or packaging.

The Ultimates line is a "We'll see." Not committing yet. The Toony stuff looks cool (and affordable) but the lack of articulation is a turn-off.Â
