Wasn't sure if I should put this in Water Cooler or here but here won out...  Today was the first time I'd been back to the local theater since they'd announced that they'd be closing on the 28th of this month.  Since the silent era there has been only about a nine month period without an operating theater of some kind (well, I'm not counting the seasonal closure of the drive-in...).  My work schedule has never let me go to the movies as much as I'd like despite it just being a just a seven mile drive.  Now it's going to be 25-30 miles plus a $3-$4 increase in ticket price from the hometown theater.  I'm really going to miss the place.  I hope I can manage to get some kind of souvenir from the place before it's repurposed/torn down.  The local drive-in still stands less than a quarter of a mile from here, how I wish I'd gotten something from there...
