Romancing The Stone

I definitely saw this movie a few decades too late. It totally doesn't hold up in 2022.
For one thing, it's supposed to be a comedy, but nothing funny happens during it. The actions sequences were probably exciting at the time, but seem plenty dated now.
Kathleen Turner DOES give good side-boob and butt. I'll give the movie that.
But as far as blockbuster directors go, Robert Zemeckis has always been very hit (Back To The Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit) and miss (Forrest Gump, The Polar Express). Now this was nowhere as bad as either Gump or Express. But it's definitely closer to the misses than the hits. **.
