The Cloverfield Paradox
I actually liked it. Most people didn't. I think most people wanted more answers about the Cloverfield franchise at large than we got, but those have never interested me much. The mystery is the part of appeal. The few frustrating answers we DID get were good enough for me.
Also I like that Hamilton's scene at the end, was by God, TOUCHING, which is not a moment a Cloverfield film has ever given us. I like that it's a sci-fi movie instead of a horror film. I like the idea that films in the franchise don't have to be the exact same thing in tone or execution every single time.
I definitely didn't like it more than 10 Cloverfield Lane, but honestly, I probably enjoyed it more than the first movie (which was a total bummer and a drag). ***1/2.
