I've been seeing the "Muppets Mayhem Tonight" figures at my local Targets but at $20 per figure I have to pass. Which is a shame. I'd love to get the band together in this scale and format. Something about them reminds of the very old Fisher Price stick puppet figures from when I was a wee lad.
Still cannot believe that Animal did not get his drums (Super7 does the same with Peter Criss)... I know that's a lot to pack in with one figure but they could've done it as a "build-a-kit" with a piece in each pack.

Only complaint I have is that they went really old-school Star Wars on the Count's cape... That will be fixed upon arrival...

They're currently sold out at BBTS but they'll probably get more preorders back in soon enough. I sincerely hope I can afford these in November. I missed out on the Electric Mayhem solely because I couldn't afford them.

The Cobra Mothership currently has 1455 backers, out of a totally unrealistic goal of 4000, with 10 days left for preorders. It is almost certainly not happening.

There's just no way. 5 days left, only 1484 backers out of 4000 needed. What was Super7 thinking?
Have any of their other big quota projects failed to meet their goal like this one did?

First big item, there have been some Ultimates! that failed to reach production numbers in pre-order stage and were refunded. I've been out of the Joe community for about 25 years now so I had no real idea how the thing would do but gut feeling was that it was going to be a real reach for that one. It may have been in the cartoon but it wasn't a commonly seen/used vehicle and it didn't look enough like the vehicles that were actual toys to strike any kind of close-enough nerve -- comparatively, the Millennium Falcon it was not...

This is an ex-Mothership. The Mothership has ceased to be.

The Mothership was in pure insanity. All that expensive tooling gone to waste with an unrealistic backer goal. I could have told them they were wasting their time.
Super7 is going to have to rethink both their selections and their price points. I can regularly collect one or two of their Ultimates lines. But BBTS is gonna keep having to do clearance sales at 55 bucks per figure for them all. It's a luxury I can occasionally treat myself to if I save up for it. But they've come out with SO much stuff that a regular person can't afford it. If the Ultimates line was 30 dollars, in line with most other toys of that level of average detail, I'd get the Disney stuff too and be tempted by Star Trek: The Next Generation, TMNT, and The Simpsons. As it stands, ThunderCats and SilverHawks are all I can do.
Reaction should also be in the 12-14 dollar price range.

There was no tooling done. Those were 3D prints or resin castings. That's the whole reason they do the big things as crowd funds, to pay for the tooling. Yes, there was a lot of expense on developing those models and getting looks-like-final-product models but that cost is a a drop in the bucket compared to making steel molds.
