DC Heroes United: Episode 1 "Dawn Of Heroes"

I just watched the first episode of this interactive animated series straight because I don't have a screen app to make the choices. I liked it so far.
The animation looks surprisingly great and it's very interesting that even though Batman distrusts Lex Luthor, Luthor himself behaves like a hero and even defends Superman. Very interesting idea.
This is promising, even if I won't be using the interactive bits. 4 stars.

DC Heroes United: Episode 2 "Friend Or Foe" (Part 1)

I feel like the animation was a bit of a step down from the first episode.
It's also interesting they are starting off Luthor and Superman as friends. I also like that they pronounce Luthor "Lu-THOR" instead of "LU-ther".
Pretty good. 3 1/2 stars.

DC Heroes United "Episode 2: Friend Of Foe: Part 2"

I thought it was good. It's interesting that Luthor is not bad, at least not yet, but morally ambiguous. Also Superman is not his rival, Batman is. I kind of like the new things the story is doing.
Based on how the thing with Lois wound up, we probably won't see her again. That is not a specific branch the interactive stuff can just walk back.
Jaime is cool.
I liked it. 3 1/2 stars.

DC Heroes United "Fear, Revealed"

First "Hell" of the series.
For the first time, we are seeing different consequences for the branches of earlier episodes, so far involving Lois finding out Clark's secret. She knows in 2 of the 3 branches now and is pissed in both.
I love Superman grumpily grabbing the Slushie from Jaime. He didn't say NO, Jaime! Hand it over!
It's interesting not just that Lex seems to be a good guy, but that he gets along with Superman well. There are various incarnations he was friends with a young Clark, but him actually being friendly and supportive of Superman, even at an early stage of their relationship is new. I like new in general. Not enough new in superhero stuff.
Cyborg doesn't trust Waller and is making sure Diana knows not to as well.
I like these cartoons. I don't play them on the app, and watch them on YouTube instead (including seeing all of the not-picked choices after the fact) but I think they're cool. 4 stars.

That sucked. The worst part is there is no good option for the last branch. Whatever you choose gets either Black Canary, Cyborg, or Blue Beetle killed. I hate that shit. 1 1/2 stars.

DC Heroes United "Broken Fate: Part 1"

Good idea to walk back the deaths. The branches would be too far apart.
Multiverse ahead. Lex seems skeptical they are enemies in other Universes. Circe however already is thinking of ways to exploit him.
Lois and Superman know the truth and have broken up in all three branches now. Branch fixed.
All right. 3 1/2 stars.

Bananas ending.
The fight scenes on this show are tight.
I kind of wish we had seen the fall-out of Batman, Superman, and Diana's choices in the flashbacks, but if that part IS nonlinear, it ought to come up in the future.
Love Lex Luthor refusing to be tempted by Cheetah. That was unexpected and frankly refreshing.
It's annoying Superman knocks out Cheetah in the branch where Jaime is getting to her. It only happened so the branches didn't separate too far. The fact that they never do sort of makes this version of "Choose Your Own Adventure" feel incredibly watered down. No matter what you choose, the story never changes too much.
Still kinda cool. I liked it, and the fact that as of now Lex Luthor chooses to be good. 3 1/2 stars.
