Ok, this looks amazing and it is clearly a labor of love for those involved but that price point is crazy (or I am just really that out out touch?).

$260 for 5 figures, 2 bikes, and a display base (with LED lights).

At $20 per figure and $40 per bike, that makes the base an $80 item? Even if the bike's were $50 each that is still a $60 display stand. Plus, no 3.75" figure is worth $20 so already this starts on the wrong foot for me regardless. I just can't justify the math for this.

Am I wrong? Is there something I'm not considering? Have the HasLabs items been that successful that pricing like this is acceptable now?

My favorite of the vintage GI Joe vehicles so I'm happy with this year's choice. While I like the three unlocks (which I'm sure we're gonna get all three considering that less than 7 hours in the thing is over half-way to the base tier) I gotta admit that I wish they'd done new cold themed figures... Still I have hope that there will be more cold weather items timed to release around the arrival of the Snow C.A.T. next fall. I want to see that bivouac done in a standard camo packed with a figure or two for a more mainline release.

New non-window packaging ... thoughts?

So, yeah, just like the title says.

Hasbro has been putting more and more of their 6" action figures in boxes without windows. How does everyone feel about this?

While I like they are moving away from non-recycled materials and have more environmentally aware packaging, there are some drawbacks to this in my opinion.

If you are an in-package collector that likes to display, does this impact your display?

Since you don't get to actually see the figure, only photos on the front panel, does it impact your decision to buy a figure since you can't see the paint apps or if there is damage to the figure?

Would you rather they still had windows without the plastic film a la some of the Imaginext vehicle packs?

Will this lead to the eventual death of the blister card?

I'd love to know what you guys think.

HasLab HeroScape game

I'm not familiar with HeroScape. I do remember when it was in stores years and years ago with all of the little add-on packs. This looks really good and I can kind of see the price-point with all of that plastic in the building(s) but people either don't have the fond memories of this game like HeroQuest or the $250 price point is keeping backers away as it's only got 1,725 backers of the 8,000 it needs to fund. I'm tempted just for the figures to use elsewhere...

Hasbro announced extensions of the Star Wars and Marvel licenses and it seemed obvious with Disney owning the property that Indy would be joining them for the next movie. Hopefully they'll add some more characters to the 4" line from 2008 but I expect the figures will all be 6" scale this time around...
