Got my final figures in. Luke Cage, Spider-woman, and Doctor Doom. I was worried Spider-woman didn't have glider wings, but she sort of does. There's a little spider-web cape that plugs into her back. It doesn't look much like her wings, but at least there's something. I don't know why they didn't do them like they did the Spider-man figure with his underarm webs. Seems like a weird choice. I might try to customize something later. There are reports of figures hitting clearance stores and I've seen some intriguing customs. Anyway, that's a wrap for this line.

Well, since this has largely been my thread, I guess I'll take it to the bitter end. Picked up Ghost Rider and his bike at Target yesterday. It was $33 plus tax, so pretty pricey. At this point I'm not going to quibble since the line was canceled. Power Man, Spider-Woman and Dr. Doom are the last wave. I've preordered them.

I'm sad to see it go but not surprised. Some of the choices were really strange, like the Ms. Marvel that couldn't be called Ms. Marvel. I don't know why you wouldn't use another female Avenger like Scarlet Witch that actually has media presence (or Wasp, or move up Black Widow), but no point in wondering now. I'm glad they finished the Fantastic Four, and I wish we'd gotten the rest of the New X-Men (Colossus and Nightcrawler). Sculpting was probably an issue there. One nice thing is that it scales pretty well with a lot of the older Marvel lines, so you can mix figures like Fin Fang Foom, Dragon Man, Juggernaut, Terrax, and even Titanium Man into the mix. The new 4-inch Epic Hero line is just a smidge too tall, but some of those will probably work as well.

Anyway, it was fun while it lasted.

Old news plus newer news. I picked up the 8-inch Sentinel a couple of months ago, and then yesterday found the 8-inch Apocalypse at my LCS. Both have a lot more articulation than the 3.75 inch figures, and include accessories and swappable parts. Pricey, though, running about $40.

Nova was lost in shipping, according to Amazon. My reorder is supposed to be here tomorrow.

I got my Hulk and Daredevil and am going to be very selective with anything else that gets released. If Man-Thing, Howard the Duck, or some of the other stranger characters get made I'll be back for more.

My number one figure request is Joe Fix-It, can't wait for that one.

I seem to be the only person here collecting this line, but I shall continue to post. Moon Knight and Nova are scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I didn't order Spider-man with underarm webs, but if I see him at retail I'll buy him.

There are preorders on Amazon for Firestar, Nova, Moon Knight, and Spider-man with underarm webs.

All of my preorders got delivered. Black Widow was last. but Thing, Thor, and Green Goblin have all shown up.
