Marvel Zombies "Episode 1"

A lot more fun than I pictured it being. Good.

By the way, why the HELL can't we get a Blade movie? Blade Knight is cool, but I want the real thing!

Having Kamala be the main character is the right decision. She's the most relatable Marvel character. Good call.

I expected to dislike that and I was wrong. I love it when that happens. 4 stars.

Marvel Zombies "Episode 2"

The thing I love about Red Guardian is that he wears his heart on his sleeve.

Not as good as the first episode, but second episodes rarely are. 3 1/2 stars.

Marvel Zombies "Episode 3"

The Spider-Man stuff at the beginning is the show explicitly tying itself to "What If...?"

Bummed about Red Guardian.

They refused to recast Chadwick Boseman, even for the cartoon. Notable.

Decent. 3 1/2 stars.

Marvel Zombies "Episode 4"

Ugh. Television and their cliffhangers endings. This was sort of billed as a limited series but Disney got dollar signs in their eyes. I'm frankly annoyed.

Majorly unsatisfying. Who even knows if this will get renewed? Cartoon seasons ending on cliffhangers are always a bad sign. 2 1/2 stars.

In November 2021, a Marvel Zombies animated series was announced, with Bryan Andrews directing and Zeb Wells serving as head writer, focusing on "a new generation of heroes" battling zombies. It is a continuation of the reality first introduced in the fifth episode of the What If ...? series, that "look at that universe with a different lens".
