Vincent is the coolest. Even him having diarrhea at the end can’t diminish that. Which is probably why that joke exists on the first place.

Gene was shockingly funny and had the best lines. I love when the kids realize they should ask for more stuff he shouts that he wants hair extensions. And when the cake guy describes the gross icing as clay you can eat, he yells that all clay is clay you can eat. I especially laughed at his idea of a distraction: He’ll say lines from Severance, but they’ll be slightly off, and it’ll be maddening. If Gene was always THIS, I would never hate him.

Great episode. 4 1/2 stars.

The ending was good but I was very aggravated during much of it.

I was furious at Louise. I don't care how young she is, she should know she shouldn't have been doing the stunt thing with a 4 year old on the train. I was appalled at what happened. The save of the stuffie was indeed impressive but I absolutely love when she hands it to the kid, he leans forward glaring at her, and hisses, "You did this!" I was like, "Oh, good, the show isn't going to pretend Louise is a hero for walking back one of the worst things she's ever done."

Linda's stuff was simply annoying. I was about as nervous as the shredder guy simply because it was so stupid.

I enjoyed Bob with the cookies especially him finding appreciation from the other people there for being good at it (Bob has ALWAYS been a food artisan, so it's in character too) but it WAS the dullest plot, and DID peter out at the end.

A mixed bag. 3 stars.

I laughed after Teddy dug up Francis when Louise asked if that was close enough.

Lot of funny stuff with the bird subplot. I especially love Bob accurately describing Louise and Gene as strange.

The tube top thing was less successful mostly because I am with Linda. Not that Tina looks like a "hoochie coochie" (whatever that is). But it does look absolutely atrocious on her. The episode is taking a very noble stance on body positivity and self-empowerment. But reality does, in fact, exist whether we like it or not. It looks awful.

Pretty good week. 3 1/2 stars.

Bob’s Burgers “The Secret Guardin”

I LOVE the reveal that Linda was hovering over Louise to protect her own secret. And that’s the right ending. Because usually Tina does NOT get away with this type of thing. And it turns out she’s allowed to this one time because she wasn’t the only one playing a con.

I love Kathleen saying she lived with the woman she accidentally picked up instead of her mom for two years. You might think Teddy is a dope for clarifying whether or not she was joking, but she said that with an epic amount of even-toned deadpan. He kinda HAD to check.

Blitzed Louise is so funny. Sometimes I like Louise, but not usually. I liked this episode because it allowed her to be cute again.

Fun. 4 stars.

Bob’s Burgers “Get Her To The Zeke”

I absolutely loved this episode. Not the Superrat stuff. But the stuff with Tina, Zeke, and Jimmy Junior. I think the thing I appreciate most about it is every single turn made me love it even more.

At first hearing that Tina is going through Jimmy Junior dance drama is annoying. Until we learn he cares too much about Zeke to let him go to the dance alone.

Let me just say, that is the nicest thing Jimmy Junior has ever said or done on this show. What’s especially great about it is that it’s actually believable. It’s the one cool and noble thing he could want that I would instantly find credible.

And eventually Tina and him realize Penelope is horrible (although their waiter sucks ass too) and Zeke heartbreakingly says he can’t afford to just call it quits because girls don’t like him, and he wishes they would. He’s a big sucker for romance. Second great plot turn.

Third is Tina realizing he’s exactly like her in this department, and she finally sees him as something other than the guy who is always in her way of the boy she likes. I thought her offering both her and Jimmy Junior to take Zeke was the perfect grand romantic gesture. And let me blunt. I would not remotely object to shipping HER and Zeke somewhere down the line. That’s how good the episode was.

But the Superrat shit? Fuck out of here with that gross nonsense.

I wish the entire episode was about Tina and Zeke. That part of the episode was perfect. 4 stars.

It's also the 300th Episode. It being great bothers me a LITTLE because of that. It's not like the show isn't good but if you asked me what would be a good candidate for a show lasting for 16 seasons and 300 episodes, Bob's Burgers would not be my pick.

Then again, I harbored similar thoughts about King Of The Hill.

Of course it is a hairpiece. Teddy's bald guy judgment against Mort's wig there was accurately described by Linda as a mean girl moment.

That grand opening was a disaster, but it would have been a bigger surprise if it hadn't been.

Great episode.
