What Did Jack Do?

This is a short black and white film directed by and starring David Lynch as a detective interrogating a talking monkey accused of murder. Poor CGI lip movement is involved.

Lynch doesn't do enough comedy for my liking, and his sense of the absurb here is wonderful. Of course things get bizarre and creepy (it's Lynch) but it's one of those rare Lynch projects that isn't violent or something that will make you lose your lunch at points. (It's rated TV-14).

It's currently on Netflix, 17 minutes long, and a good way for people who've never seen his stuff to get a sample of how weird he is. Bonus points for him giving us an actual ending. Not a SATISFYING one (it IS Lynch). But an ending all the same. 4 stars.
