Lego Pixar BrickToons: Cars "Trust Yer Ol' Pal, Mater"

Not happy that the first one of these was for Cars. I fucking HATE Cars. And I fucking LOATHE Mater! 0.

Lego Pixar BrickToons: Brave "Patience Is A Bear"

Hasn't really been much Brave media since the actual movie. Merida had a cameo in Ralph Breaks The Internet but the movie never turned into a franchise.

This short shows why. It is not a story that lends itself to a recurring premise. Or if it is, this short was unable to prove that. 1 1/2 stars.
Lego Pixar BrickToons: The Incredibles "Pizza Night"

Ummm, Syndrome is DEAD. Did they think we just forgot that?

The characters look crappy in LEGO form. And not a single thing in the short was funny.

Awful. 1 star.

Lego Pixar BrickToons: Finding Nemo "Field Trip"

Those Lego designs are hideous. I do NOT want the Minifigures from this special.

Speaking of Lego, the building sequence felt pretty cynical to me.

Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks refused to slum for this and I respect them both immensely for it.

Ugh. 2 stars.

Lego Pixar BrickToons: Coco "Family Bands Together"

A surprising gem!

Like Brave, Coco is NOT a movie that would apparently lend itself to revisiting in sequels and spin-off projects. However unlike the Brave short, they freaking made it work!

I loved it and thought it was the only good cartoon in the batch. The song was great too! 4 1/2 stars.
