Predator: Killer Of Killers

Spoiler

Pretty good. The first segment sucked, but the rest was mostly entertaining, although I found the cliffhanger ending obnoxious. Naru being in the ship also raises questions to me about the upcoming Prey sequel and if and how they will address that (or even if that's what the entire film is about).

The premise is a good one: The Predators take captive the rare humans throughout history who have actually killed a Predator, take 'em to their home planet, have them fight to the death, and then face their king. It didn't quite work out that way, which is another reason the cliffhanger ending grates a bit.

Torres' story was the best, but I have to say although it DOES seem plausible for a species like the Predators to only be able to see heat, it most certainly does not REMOTELY make sense that's all their spaceship sensors can see too. While it's a giant monster hunting guys on the ground, I'll allow it. A Predator ship fighting WWII biplanes? Not so much.

It took me a little while to get used to the animation, but once I did, I thought it looked beautiful.

I liked this and I REALLY liked Prey. I approve of the direction the franchise is taking. 3 1/2 stars.
