And already ... ch-ch-ch-changes.

Phase Six

66. Fantastic Four: Baby Steps - July 25th, 2025

67. Ironheart - September 3rd, 2025

68. Untitled Marvel Studios Film - February 13th, 2026

69. Avengers: Doomsday - May 1st, 2026

70. Spider-Man 4 - July 24th, 2026

71. Untitled Marvel Studios Film - November 6th, 2026

72. Avengers: Secret Wars - May 7th, 2027

Spider-Man 4 has an official release date!  And as surmised, it falls between Doomsday and Secret Wars.  Also, Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) has been confirmed as the director.  I thought that was already confirmed, but now I guess it's confirmed confirmed.  Anyway, it's a done deal.

So how does "Spider-Man: King In Black" sound as a title?  Has kind of a ring to it, eh?

So, four films in 2026, two of them untitled.  And kind of a long gap between the last film in 2026 and the first one in 2027.  I wonder if there's more to be announced for Phase 6. They can put another movie or maybe a couple of TV shows in there for sure.  Young Avengers?  Wonder Man?  Vision?  Regardless, I really want to see the Multiverse Saga end on a high note.  They have some momentum now with Deadpool and Wolverine and Agatha.

My bold ass (Probably wrong) prediction for the untitled movie on February 13th 2026: Doctor Strange 3.

And my bold ass prediction for the untitled movie on November 6th, 2026:  I really have no idea.

Okay, that wasn't very bold.  But it's all I got.

Takeaways:

There are a grand total of 6(!) live action movies and TV shows in 2025, and 3 animated series.  That's a lot of content.  I know earlier this year Bob Iger said "quality over quantity" but bear in mind some of these projects have been in the works for awhile.  Last year's labor strikes did not help matters.  I really expect things to slow down quite a bit in 2027 and 2028.  I think that's a good thing.  I love Marvel but even a die hard like me can get burned out if we continue to get bombarded.

And here's an interesting thought:  Deadpool and Wolverine came out the same weekend as the San Diego Comic Con this year.  And we know that Fantastic Four First Steps comes out the same weekend as SDCC next year.

Spider-Man 4 is due to be released on July 26th, 2026.  That will almost surely be the same weekend as that year's Comic Con.  And ... there is an Untitled Marvel Studios Film coming out on July 23rd, 2027.  And again, that has to be right smack dab during Comic Con.

Coincidence?  I think not.

Deadpool and Wolverine was huge.  FF and Spidey 4 are going to be huge.  I'm guessing the film coming out in July 2027 is going to be some kind of big event movie.  Something that Marvel can make a big presentation for that will get tongues wagging on social media.  No, NOT Wong and Madisynn Go To The Mall (as cute as that would be).  No, it's got to be something that's going to get everyone excited in an old school Marvel kind of way.  Dark AvengersWorld War Hulk?  Or ... could we see the long awaited MCU debut of the X-Men at last?

Stay tuned and stuff.

D23 is going on in Brazil right now, that's where they dropped the new New World Order trailer and Thunderbolts* preview (links for each in the proper topic but probably easier just to do a search on YouTube).  Feige has also given some info on plans for mutants and Miles Morales in the MCU but I haven't found video of it, yet.

My friend told me to stop quoting the Monkees. I thought she was joking. But then I saw her face.
