Despicable Me 4

Considering what Maxime did to Junior in the film, it's the wrong ending too.

Poppy is kind of an annoying character but she wound up serving an all right purpose.

The Mega Minions are this franchise running out of ideas.

This was done by Illumination's French Studio. I get the logic of Overseas animation for TV cartoons, but Big Budget animated films used to be made in Hollywood. I don't like this kind of outsourcing.

Groundhog Birthday.

It's never quite explained why Benny hates his birthday to start out with.

I LOVE the song Walking On Sunshine.

Deleted / Extended / Alternate Scenes

Most of this is cut Minions gags, cut for time and because if they all stayed, the movie would be entirely about them. Overall: 3 1/2 stars.

Class Of '85

The first half of the scene is fully finished, suggesting it was cut at the last minute. The rest is interesting rough CGI footage. 3 1/2 stars.

More raw CGI animatics. Some of these gags are pretty funny so they must have been cut for time. 3 1/2 stars.

Big Day Out

Gru and the Minions taking Junior to the park.

I like the Minions in drag.

I also like Gru and Junior smiling evilly after he tells his son that wasn't very nice. 4 stars.

Karate Round 2

It's a funny callback, but it might have been overkill. 2 1/2 stars.

Gru Vs. Treehouse

They pared this down in the movie. It's kind of amusing but also neither here nor there. 3 stars.

Defibrillator

That was funny! I think they should have kept it! 4 1/2 stars.

Mega Minions Mega Mix

I'm guessing these films have a TON of cut Minions gags. They aren't cut because they are bad, but because if they weren't, the movie would never get anywhere.

I like the bit of the Mega Minions essentially turning into a Mecha though. No lie. 3 1/2 stars.

Mega Minions In Lockdown

Originally, the Mega Minions weren't retired, but put in a secure prison. Honestly, that doesn't make much sense.

They changed their mind at the last minute though, as most of this scene is fully completed.

I like the bit with the secret handshake as the passkey. 4 stars.

Theatrical Trailer

The songs "Sweet Child Of Mine" and "Maneater" probably should have been in the movie itself. 4 1/2 stars.
