Has anyone else seen this?

Very similar to the "Toys R Us" at Macy's setup but much smaller.

It is only at 1 of my local area Target stores (Webster for those near me). It is a small section of the store at the intersection of Baby/Toddler and Toys. Roughly 3 aisles by 3 aisles worth of space with a huge central tower display and then smaller cubicle style arrangements for different Disney themes (Star Wars, Marvel, Disney Classic, Disney Modern). Plenty of signage and dangly things from the ceilings complete with a "Disney Store" logo banner. made it easy to spot. A good mix of Toys, Clothing, Merchandise, and books from what was on display in my store.

Of note though, this removed Marvel and Star Wars from the Action figure aisle (mostly) so it doesn't just add more exposure for those items.

Curious if anyone else has this set up in their area or if this is some sort of trial run that I happened to be lucky enough to stumble across.

There's one Target in the Louisville area that's huge and in a high-end area that's had a section like that for at least a couple of years, maybe longer (I don't get to that store very often).  I didn't realize that it was Disney-specific until reading your post because I don't remember any banner or signage but thinking back I'm pretty sure it was only Disney brands in that area.

My friend told me to stop quoting the Monkees. I thought she was joking. But then I saw her face.

Interesting.

Granted I don't get out the Webster store every often, but I was there just before the summer resets and it wasn't there at that time.

I wonder if other chains will start adding more of these kiosk style stores ( I'm thinking TRU @ Macy's, Sephora @ Kohl's, etc.)

Is there the possibility of WB stores making a comeback at some other Big Box retailer? I know I would love to see a dedicated DC space (although it would be a very small part of WB overall) and access to more merch for classic WB & HB characters would be fun to find.

I keep seeing rumors that WB/Discovery has been trying to get their stuff in-order to sell WB (or maybe merge the whole thing?...) to Universal next year.  If that happens I wonder how that will affect the licensing deal for DC and Looney Tunes with Six Flags.  It's kind of amazing how little merchandise other than home video and apparel that WB has available beyond the DC, Scooby-Doo, Harry Potter and Wizard of Oz brands.
