Wave 4 hasin't even been announced but Brian has gone ahead and announced that wave 5 will be like Thundercats 5.5, a single figure and a personal vehicle...

Guessing the wave 4 pre-orders will happen a couple of weeks after people start receiving wave 1.  Got wave 2 from work last week and they all look great.  Still not sold on what they've done with the color shift paint that really doesn't color shift that much but it still looks pretty good.  The order system at work lists three of wave 3 as "UNAVAILABLE" with the other as a pre-order.  I hope that we get the entire wave when they're released, getting them through work saved me over a hundred bucks.

Good the line is still going.

The video is almost two-and-a-half hours but Flynn is only there until about the 1:30:00 mark (which is where I am right now, not sure what is covered after he leaves).  He does address the Silverhawks color shift paint (the shift paint price skyrocketed so it got changed) which I missed somewhere along the way.  He briefly mentions Copperkid and his ride and talks a bit about when to expect wave 4 to be announced/solicited.  He also talks a bit about the Turtle Van, the upcoming cancellation of The Rescuers wave and answers some other viewer questions.

Got off work a little early yesterday so I thought I'd check my PO box since Saturday is normally the only day I can access it and was surprised to find I had a big box of something waiting for me.  It was wave 1 with no shipment notice from Super7 at all which is why I really prefer boxes going to the PO instead of just sitting on the porch or by the garage -- wish Walmart and Target would get on board with PO boxes...  Anyway, the box weighed a small ton.  I knew Mon*Star was big but I didn't realize that Buzz-Saw was going to be nearly as big, especially since he was priced the same as the human sized figures.  The SilverHawks are nice but Mon*Star's crew are the stars of this show.  Really wish that they could get the MOTU Classics license back... I'm enjoying Masterverse and the "new" characters that have arrived in Origins but I would love to get some more Classics but Mattel just doesn't seem interested...

That show had the craziest alien villains you could imagine. I always wondered what kind of crack the writers were smoking when coming up with the various insane concepts and designs of the show. 

Wave 4 will be solicited in August (maybe we'll get a preview or a tease at SDCC) and wave 5 (Copper Kid, the Space Racer and one other figure) will be solicited in January 2024.  No exclusives planned for the line for the immediate future.  When things are running right, Brian's plan is to offer 3 waves (a total of 12 figures) a year.

Wave 4 on display -- Vac-metal Steelheart and Quicksilver, green Buzz-Saw and what looks to be more muted armored Mon*Star -- essentially a "Kenner" wave...

It's so great that Super 7 is given those of us with limited budgets waves we can skip. That goes straight into saving up for Cat's Lair. That's so great. And for people with the budget for this? Those Kenner figures look great.

$280 for the set of four with the S7 bonus head pack or $85 on Mon*Star with the others being $65 each.

I do like that green on Buzz-Saw...

Not loving the price increase. I'm already not getting them but I'm guessing this is the new price of Ultimates Figures going forward. 

Was Buzz-Saw $55 or $65 the last time?   I can see $65 because of his size but I'd have to look it up to see what it was.  Mon*Star was $85 before and the other two got a $10 bump because of the vac-metal.

I hope that's all it is. But Buzz-Saw was 55 last time. Although he wound up so big he might have been underpriced.
